The measures planned today are not sufficient and are proving to be more difficult to implement than expected. It is also important to avoid as many emissions as possible before 2050. That is why Swiss companies, together with research institutions and the Canton of Zug, are taking responsibility and are trying to use the methane pyrolysis process to avoid burning natural gas (which mainly consists of methane) as before, but to split off the hydrogen from the methane and only use this hydrogen energetically to use. The carbon resulting from the process is to be used in agriculture as humus and in industry as building and construction material, so it cannot escape into the atmosphere. This means that 270 g of CO2 emissions can be saved for each KWh of energy used.
