The association
The association for the decarbonization of industry was founded by the initiators in 2022 and has set itself the goal of raising the process from laboratory size to industrial level and, within a few years, of finding industrial customers who are willing to convert their plant to hydrogen operation.
The association for the decarbonization of industry is also commissioned to set up an ecosystem that does justice to the circular idea of all components, so that not only the hydrogen, but also the coal and the waste heat are used as optimally as possible and no waste products are produced. Since the process is not yet commercially viable and still requires development aid, the Canton of Zug, Empa and the companies involved have agreed to pay more than CHF 8 million "à fonds perdu" and thus support the association and its goals finance.
Membership in the association
In order to benefit from the developments in the association for the decarbonization of industry and to have access to knowledge and achievements, companies are welcome to submit a request to the attention of the association's board. We especially welcome members who have complementary competences themselves, and thus also offer added value to the association. The association is tax-exempt, donations and support contributions can therefore be declared as expenses for tax purposes in the canton of Zug and many other cantons. The annual membership fee is CHF 1'000.
